TV Broadcast features the Aquafence Mobile Flood Defence System

In a broadcast of "nano" on 26th May 2009 at 3sat, www.3sat.de, Prof. Dr. Pasche from Technical University Hamburg-Harburg talks about concepts of the re-use of "sleeping dykes" in Northern Germany and Hamburg.

Part of the concept would be to use mobile flood defence systems for 2nd and 3rd line defence and for closing gates. One example of a mobile flood defence system presented in the report is AquaFence, which has been tested and certified by the Institute of River and Coastal Engineering of the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg.
