AQUAFENCE FLOODWALL
Modular flood barrier system
A self-stabilizing, modular barrier engineered around your site protecting buildings, campuses and critical infrastructure while normal operations continue.
AQUAFENCE FLOODWALL
Designed for the flood.
Engineered for the facility.
The AquaFence FloodWall is a modular system in which multiple interconnected panels form a continuous flood wall around a structure or area. Each panel is individually self-stabilized by the weight of the water on the system, as the floodwater rises, the barrier is strengthened. The result is a wall highly resistant to a wide range of flood loads, with minimal anchoring and preinstallation site work.
The patented FloodWall is designed with safety factors above industry standard and has been extensively tested in AquaFence and third-party facilities. All parts are built from durable materials, with examples of the system in service, in some cases fully submerged, for several years at a time — and it has been tested to withstand extreme temperatures. The system is compliant with building codes including ASCE 7-16, ASCE 24-24, and IBC 2015.
HOW IT WORKS
The highest performing deployable flood protection system
Interconnected panels form one continuous barrier. As floodwater rises, its weight acts on the horizontal membrane to stabilize each module, delivering robust protection with localized anchoring and limited permanent site work.
-
Self-stabilizing design uses floodwater weight to increase strength as water levels rise.
-
FM-verified at 1.8x design load; internally tested above 2.0x.
-
Engineered for combined hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, wave, current, and impact loads.
-
Protects without transferring water-pressure loads back to the building.
PRODUCTS & CONFIGURATION
Protection heights from 2.5 to 9 feet
FloodWall models cover protection heights from 0.75 to 2.7 meters and can transition between heights along the same protection line—matching flood depth, terrain and site-specific risk.

PRODUCTS & CONFIGURATION
Engineered around each site's specific geometry and constraints
Each AquaFence FloodWall system is configured to follow the real conditions of your site, from changing elevations, curves and corners to access points, openings and operational constraints. The result is a continuous protection line engineered for reliable deployment without compromising how your facility operates.

OPERATIONS & SUPPORT
Deploy early. Keep access open. Close the final gaps when needed.

Most of the FloodWall perimeter can be installed while normal operations continue.
Planned vehicle and pedestrian access points remain open, then the final modules are added as the flood trigger approaches.
Site-specific deployment plans and labeled crates make every response faster and repeatable.
OPERATIONS & SUPPORT
Compact to store. Simple to maintain. Built to reuse.
AquaFence barriers are delivered in stackable, reusable, weather-resistant crates. Where height allows, crates stack up to four high. General crate dimensions are 4′4″ W × 7′4″ D × 4′4″ H, allowing ten crates to fit in an average 9′ × 20′ parking spot when stacked two high. An empty crate weighs approximately 250 lb, while a fullyloaded crate weighs up to 1 ton. Where space favors it, panels can instead be stood on their side and efficiently stored outside the crates. Models
FloodWall panels are organized by section in labeled, stackable crates for efficient storage and repeatable deployment. After an event, the system is inspected, rinsed and repacked, ready for the next flood without sand, fill material or disposable components.
